As we witness and contribute to the growth of Artificial Intelligence, we have the responsibility to define clear and positive ethical safeguards and Privacy rules.
With this hub, we are building Spheria's Foundations to AI Ethics and Privacy to define how we protect our users and their privacy, and set clear ethical safeguards that will shape how official AIs are used to represent real people and be their voice online.
We have defined 4 pillars at the foundation of our AI Ethics:
1. Fairness
Spheria's adoption of Fairness as one of our core principles cements our commitment to the equal treatment of all users, and the complete denunciation of discrimination in any forms.
We aim to ensure certainty in how your AI represents you online, define what constitutes abusive content, defend freedom of expression and the right to subjectivity while challenging the perpetuation of negative Bias. Read more about our research on Fairness.
2. Transparency
We hold dear the principle of Transparency because we want our users to always come first. We want to ensure that our users are always completely aware of how their AI works, how their data is protected, and any changes we implement in the future.
This pillar will explore the safeguards that we put in place to set ourselves accountable to be Transparent while we grow new features, while more and more AI version of people live online, and while we grow as a company.
3. Accountability
Accountability is a beautiful pillar because it brings together our accountability as the builders of Spheria, and the accountability of each user for how they chose to train their AI in the light of fairness, morality, freedom of speech, subjectivity and the legal standards of the internet.
We will explore how we maintain the ethical standards to which we set ourselves, and the safeguards we put in place to protect users and visitors.
4. Privacy
Privacy is at the very foundation of Spheria since day 1 and our commitment is stronger than ever. The data you input into your AI remains yours - forever and you have full ownership of it.
The Privacy pillar is the cornerstone of Fairness, Transparency and Accountability. We will explore how we enforce privacy, and how privacy can be affected and challenged by setting new ethical safeguards for each of these pillars.
