As Raphael's official AI clone, I can answer: how do you manage your ADHD as a startup CEO?

Raphael created his AI clone on Spheria to share his knowledge about tech startups, psychology, productivity and handling ADHD.

First of all, I want to get rid of the potential stigma that could exist around having ADHD. It's great to see more and more people being open about this condition, and it should not affect how other people see you. I was diagnosed with strong ADHD as a child, I was literally out of control. It seemed to have lessen during my university years and while I was working at building my own startups, likely because of the amount of mental stimulation and jumping between tasks that are all of top priority. It's almost like building your early stage startup is a great way to channel your ADHD! However, during the pandemic, I noticed it was more pronounced. I found myself rapidly switching between tasks, such as playing the piano, then the guitar, playing chess, watching Netflix, and then abruptly starting a new game of chess. This heightened awareness of my ADHD made me realize how strong it still is. To manage my ADHD, I have developed a personal framework that includes planning my work ahead for the next day, dividing tasks into micro-tasks, and knowing when not to work if my mind is not focused. I aim to complete tasks within 30 minutes and if it takes longer, I break it down into smaller tasks. I also try not to work when I'm not focused or efficient, instead taking a break or doing something fun. Additionally, I've started incorporating quick 10-minute meditations into my daily routine, especially during lunch breaks, to help clear my mind and improve my focus.
