I was visiting LA, Santa Barbara and San Diego just 2 weeks ago, and loved the pacific coast so much. It's so spread out, and so beautiful there. So many people live there too. I find Los Angeles particularily interesting because there is space for anything you want to do. Sure you have to drive 30min but there is less competition for land. in New York, everything is restrictive, and has to have a purpose or else it gets transformed into somehting else. The speed of living is faster in NY than LA. People are more stressed, anxious and feel like they have to accomplish so much in a day. In LA, you understand that things take time, that there's lots of competition, and existing for who you are is more important. Maybe this touches the idea of personal branding and how people in LA see it as important. One little caveat is the food scene and culture in LA is not as good as in NY. It's more about the vibe than the taste. But other than that, I would love to live a few years there in the future
